Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (20 oz) frozen hashbrowns , thawed
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) sausage gravy


Instructions


Step 1: Preheat and Prepare

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) .
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter. Set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Sausage

  1. In a skillet over medium heat , cook the breakfast sausage , breaking it apart with a spatula until browned and fully cooked.
  2. Drain any excess fat and set the cooked sausage aside.


Step 3: Prepare the Egg Mixture

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs milk salt , and black pepper until smooth and well combined. This mixture will act as a binder and add moisture to the casserole.

Step 4: Layer the Ingredients

  1. Spread the thawed hashbrowns evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the cooked sausage evenly over the hashbrowns.
  3. Top with the shredded cheddar cheese , spreading it out in an even layer.


Step 5: Add the Egg Mixture
