Liver cooking tip: Remove the strong odor and let it soften.

Liver is a less popular offal. Sometimes it has a very strong flavor and/or is tough and difficult to chew. There are some very simple solutions. I will also share a few recipes that will help you easily solve these common liver problems.

In addition to being one of the most economical offal, liver has many beneficial health properties. In these recipes, we will try to minimize these properties.

Fried liver (basic and simple)
This recipe is a classic for many. It involves cutting the liver into thin strips and salting it for a few minutes in the refrigerator. You will need:
Ingredients
500 g of liver
1/2 tsp. 1 tsp. black pepper
1 or 2 cloves of garlic
Salt to taste
1 large onion
2 tbsp. olive oil
Preparation
Be sure to wash and cut the liver into very thin strips. Place them in a bowl, then add the pre-chopped garlic, salt and pepper.
Mix well and leave in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, covered tightly. After that, remove the liver from the refrigerator.

Pour olive oil into a frying pan and fry all the liver pieces in a bowl. Once cooked, add the onion, previously cut into julienne strips or brunoise (lengthwise or in cubes).
