Tater Tot Casserole


1. Go ahead and preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) so it’s nice and hot when you’re ready.
2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the diced onion over medium heat. Keep cooking until the meat is no longer pink and the onion is soft. Drain any extra grease.
3. In a big bowl, stir together the cooked beef and onion with the cream of mushroom soup. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
4. Spread this savory mixture evenly in the bottom of a casserole dish.
5. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer right on top of the beef mixture.
6. Sprinkle your shredded cheese generously over the tater tots.
7. Pop the dish into your preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy and the cheese is deliciously bubbly.
8. Let your casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Dig in and enjoy each cozy bite!
