The Ultimate Pineapple Pound Cake

 Ingredients

For the  Cake:

· 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted  butter, softened to room temperature
· 2 cups  granulated sugar
· 4 large eggs, room temperature
· 3 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
· 1 teaspoon baking powder
· ½ teaspoon salt
· 1 cup crushed pineapple, thoroughly drained (reserve juice for glaze if desired)
· 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extractv
